I have been so honored these past years to be a recipient of the Town and Gown Scholarship. It has given me the opportunity to study at USC and discover my passion for school and my place in the work field. As my early graduation approaches this December, I can truly look back at my accomplishments during my time here at USC. I have made life-long friends, met inspiring teachers, and grown to love and cherish my Trojan family. This fall, I am spending my last semester abroad in Hong Kong. There, I am hoping to network with professionals in the international marketing and public relations fields. Simultaneously, I plan on finishing up my schoolwork and brushing up on my Mandarin language skills. When I return, I will pursue a career in the Marketing industry as an account executive, in an integrated marketing, public relations, and advertising agency in the San Diego area. Thank you Town and Gown, for my making my experience at use so memorable and providing me encouragement to pursue my studies! |

Over the past four years, being a Town and Gown Scholar has allowed me to fulfill my goals and pursue my dreams at USC. The support of Town and Gown as an organization has been significant in affording me the opportuni1y to pursue my major in communication at the Annenberg School for Communication, and additionally, a minor in Video Game Design and Management under the USC Viterbi School of Engineering’s Information Technology Program. The Town and Gown scholarship has allowed me to make the most of my college experience and get involved in areas of study that I am truly passionate about. With my communication major, as well as my design minor, I plan on pursuing a career in the entertainment industry, specifically focusing on the growing field of interactive entertainment, where I hope to become a game designer or producer. The Town and Gown scholarship has given me the foundation that I need to make my ambitions a reality, and for that I am truly grateful. |

My time at USC has been a truly incredible experience. During one's college career, every student is presented with countless opportunities to further their education both in the classroom and outside of it. Being a four-year Town and Gown Scholar has allowed me to take advantage of many of these opportunities that I may not have had time for if I had had to worry about paying for my college education. By lightening my financial burden, Town and Gown has provided me with the chance to work on projects with professors, become more involved in student groups, and ultimately, more fully enjoy my time at USC. For that, I am grateful. After I graduate this spring, I plan to spend a year working abroad before continuing on to Law school. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at USC and will miss walking around campus on a daily basis, but I feel fortunate to have been able to take advantage of so many of the programs and opportunities on campus while I was here. |

The Town and Gown Scholarship allowed me to pursue activities that made my time at USC even more valuable. While my job as a Resident Advisor covered my room and board, I was also able to volunteer and have unpaid Internships that would not have been possible without the help of Town and Gown, because I would have needed to spend my time on a paying job unrelated to my career goals. This scholarship allowed me to have unpaid Internships in my areas of interest: Cinema/Television, Non-profits, and Politics. After graduation, I hope to work in one of these fields. I also look forward to being able to support Town and Gown in helping other students in the future. |
